Big Brothers Big Sisters believes in the power of friendship. The Bigs and Littles in our program experience the magic of everyday moments shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share dreams with and just hangout... with friends it's the little things that mean the most.
Our History
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat & District has been establishing mentoring friendships since 1974 when we first started matching local "Big Brothers" with "Little Brothers". In 1988 the service expanded to include mentoring matches between Big and Little Sisters.
Today we have grown to include a variety of community and site-based programs, as well as activities that serve local youth between the ages of 6 and 16. As our community continues to grow so do we, our program diversity, and the need for community wide volunteer and financial support.
Through past and present support of our caring community, we are proud of our achievements and will continue to strive to be on the leading edge of the Big Brothers Big Sisters movement in Canada.
Nationally Big Brothers Big Sisters' goal is to serve 100,000 children by 2013, and with your help it's possible.
Our Vision
