The Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre Center is a place of discovery for young and old, with a little something for everyone. Take a stroll back in time through the Esplanade's Archives and Museum. The Archives are filled with an extensive collection that documents the rich history of Medicine Hat and surrounding area dating back to 1883. The Museum is a visual representation of the history of our area. It features an interactive gallery for everyone to enjoy while learning about how Medicine Hat grew into the City it is today.

The Esplanade's Art Gallery is constantly changing, featuring works from near and far. Every year the gallery brings in twelve different exhibitions for display. Each exhibition is brought to life with a wide range of programs for all ages, including workshops, tours and classes.

With more than 60 performances each year - the Theatre features everything from rock music to ballet, theatrical performances and everything in between. Whether you're eight or eighty, the Theatre is sure to have something that suits your taste.

Don't forget, the Esplanade also offers great educational opportunities through their Discovery Center and Education Outreach Programs. The goal is to promote growth through creativity and innovation. Programs offered include demonstrations and workshops, exploratory activities involving artifacts, reading sessions, and individual and group activities.
